It kinda has a size restriction. hard to explain. its not really size but type of beast. But as a general rule of thumb the giant beasts you cannot tame. with the exception of a few which will shrink greatly. Huge boar in RFK or the Huge spider in Bloodmyst isle.

Just 1 more thing. Dont get caught up in the what pet is best cause they are all good if you like them. Just find one you like and stick with it. Petopia will tell you what type of pet is best for what situation though if your a cruncher.

Ok, I’m thinking of rolling a Hunter and I’m just wondering… what is the Low Down on Taming pets? I know (or at least I think) that it is only beasts you can have as a pet… but what other restrictions are there?
Is there a size restriction (never seen a kodo as a pet ;P)? A certain level (must it give you exp if you were goning to kill it)?
Please can some one explain! I have my eyes set on one of those Fen Striders in Zangermarsh;D
