The first two you can probably get away with DPS gear but I would recommend staying in bear form. Putting unnecessary strain on the healer to add a little bit of DPS when the whole raid is focus-firing your target just isn’t worth it.
If you are one of the later channeler tanks, particularly the last two, then definitely go bear gear. We generally put prot warriors/pallys last then feral druids then DPS warriors then if needed the first one is evasion tanked by a couple of rogues & a misdirect or even a What are you trying to tell me? That I can out-tank & out-DPS them all?
Druid Trainer: No RareBeast. I’m trying to tell you that when you have read the Feral Druid Numbers thread, you won’t have to.
Rareone(80 Hunter), Rarebull(80 Mage), Raress(80 Priest), Raredeath(80 Death Knight), Raredude(80 Shaman)
Rarelord(80 Paladin), Rarebones(80 Rogue), Rarelock(80 Warlock), Rarebob(80 Warrior)If you are tanking one of the first three channelers, pop on your Wildfury Greatstaff, your tank idol and tank in either kitty or bear form in all other DPS gear. I push 60 dodge in badge gear and whatnot. WARN your healer that you will be taking spike damage instead of normal damage so he can prepare with the big heals. When you go back to DPS just pop on your DPS staff, idol, and have at it. I also do not take off my salvation if on the 2nd or 3rd channeler, as I don’t when I tank aboms in MH.

Guild: Demonic ReichAs a channeler tank is it ok to tank in Kitty gear for DPS later? I’d get my target killed first.-Do you have that dream where you see yourself standing in sort of sun god robes on a pyramid with a thousand naked women screaming and throwing little pickles at you?
